Teagan's wondering

How many muscles in our body?
We found out that we have 640 skeletal muscles

Our next question was how many bones do we have?
206 - WOW

Laine has had an incident this week where his bone needs to repair itself, it is now in a cast.  Aren't we lucky our bones can do this...

Week 4 with Richie & Sativa

Bloggers - Richie and Sativa
In Room 10 we have been practising for swimming sports.

We have been doing some summer posters about our Room 10  summer holidays here are some of them.

In Week 1 we did not know about our new classmates so Mrs Haddock made us make ‘Me’ charts.
Mrs Haddock here ;) I was so impressed by all of our swimmers this week, it was an extremely long day and for some their first ever swimming sports.

I've enjoyed meeting parents at the PACT interviews where we had some lovely conversations about how you've settled into school.

For Olivia

I'm going to share this with the class, I've heard that you love to sing - be Brave Olivia!  http://youtu.be/t9fMNNsdPjU

[Cyndi Lauper:]
You with the sad eyes
Don’t be discouraged
Oh I realize
Its hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
And the darkness inside you
Can make you feel so small
[Sara Bareilles:]
You can be amazing
You can turn a phrase into a weapon or a drug
You can be the outcast
Or be the backlash of somebody’s lack of love
But I wonder what would happen if you
[Cyndi Lauper:]
But I see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that’s why I love you
So don’t be afraid to let them show
[Sara Bareilles:]
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I just wanna see you
I wanna see you be brave
Show me a smile then,
Don’t be unhappy, can’t remember
When I last saw you laughing
If this world makes you crazy
And you’ve taken all you can bear
You call me up
Because you know I’ll be there
Come on, now
You call me up
Because you know I’ll be there
Come on, call me up
Everybody’s been there, everybody’s been stared down
By the enemy
Fallen for the fear and done some disappearing
Bow down to the mighty
Don’t run, stop holding your tongue
Maybe there’s a way out of the cage where you live
Maybe one of these days you can let the light in
Show me how big your brave is
[Cyndi Lauper & Sara Bareilles:]
Say what you wanna say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave
With what you want to say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave
[Cyndi Lauper:]
So don’t be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful
[Sara Bareilles:]
Innocence, your history of silence
[Cyndi Lauper:]
I can’t remember when I last saw you laughing
[Sara Bareilles:]
Let your words be anything but empty.
[Cyndi Lauper:]
You call me up
Because you know I’ll be there
[Sara Bareilles:]
Why don’t you tell them the truth?
[Overlapping:]
And I’ll see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that’s why I love you
So don’t be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful,
Like a rainbow
Say what you wanna say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave
Just wanna see you be brave
Wanna see you be brave
Just wanna see you be brave
Don’t be
Don’t be afraid
